For those who keep wondering
if they're the problem
You Keep Thinking
It Was Your Fault
It Wasn't
What happened to you has a name.
And the moment you find it
the self-blame starts to break
$27 · Instant PDF download · Read it tonight
It’s deep into the night and you’re still awake.
Not because you can’t sleep. Because you’re doing the thing you do — replaying it AGAIN. Going back through the conversations. Looking for the moment you went wrong.
You’ve been doing this for months. Maybe longer.
You started wondering if maybe you’re THE PROBLEM.
You’ve Googled “why do I feel crazy” and “why can’t I just get over it” and “am I the narcissist.” You’ve come back to the same articles and read them at midnight looking for something.
Some piece of information that would make the fog lift. Something that would explain why, even now that it’s over — or almost over — you still feel like you’re walking through wet concrete.
Maybe I’m too sensitive.
Maybe I ask for too much.
Maybe I’m just not well.
Here’s what no one has said to you clearly enough yet:
The reason you can’t explain it is not because it didn’t happen. It’s because what happened to you was specifically designed to make you doubt that it was happening.
The confusion you feel? That’s not a character flaw. That’s not weakness. That’s what happens to smart, capable, feeling people when someone systematically trains them to distrust the one thing that could have protected them: their own perception.
You’re not too sensitive. You were not listened to.
You’re not losing your mind. Your mind was deliberately unsettled.
You’re not broken. You were broken into.
And none of that — none of it — is your fault.
WHY this matters: Because you cannot start to heal from something you cannot see clearly. And right now, you’re trying to recover from something that doesn’t have a name in your world yet.
WHAT is actually happening: What you experienced has a recognised psychological pattern. It has a name. And the research is clear — the moment that name lands, something shifts. Not everything. Not instantly. But self-blame, the weight that’s been sitting on your chest, starts to move.
HOW to see it differently: This isn’t about him or her being a monster. This is about understanding the mechanism — so you stop putting yourself on trial for surviving it.
WHAT IF the first step wasn’t
harder therapy homework or a 30-day plan but simply understanding what you’ve been living inside?
What changes
Here’s What Shifts When You Have the Words
You stop replaying the conversations — not because you force yourself to, but because you understand what was actually happening in them. The loop that keeps you staring at the ceiling starts to quiet, because it was never really insomnia. It was your mind looking for an explanation that finally exists.
You stop explaining yourself in circles — to your therapist, to your friend, to yourself — because you finally have the words. And once you have them, the story you've been telling yourself changes. The one where you're the reason it all went wrong.
You look back at the last year — or the last five — and you see it differently. Not without pain. But without the crushing weight of believing it was all your fault.
You become the kind of person who can hear someone say “it sounds like they really loved you though” and not crumble. Because you know what you know now. You were there. And you understand what was actually happening there.
You wake up one morning, and the first thought isn't
what did I do wrong?
It's what do I do next?
You don’t need to do months of work to get there.
You need one clear starting point.
That starting point is understanding what happened. Naming it. Seeing the pattern for what it was — not a reflection of your worth, but a strategy someone used on you.
This approach works — not because it’s complicated, but because it goes straight to the root. The self-blame you’re carrying isn’t the problem. It’s a symptom. The problem is that you’ve been trying to heal without understanding what you’re healing from.
Kaz — who built this Kit — has been exactly where you are. Not adjacent to it. In the middle of it. The fog, the self-doubt, the replaying, the wondering if she was the problem. She came out the other side not through a 12-step programme or a year of theory, but through one moment of naming that changed everything. This Kit is the distillation of that moment, and the steps that followed it.
And if you’re sitting there thinking “but I’ve tried things before and nothing has worked” — this isn’t a course. It’s not more homework. It’s a clarity tool you can read tonight, and feel something shift before you close your laptop.
Even if you’ve been in this fog for years.
Even if you’ve tried therapy and couldn’t explain what was wrong.
Even if you still half-believe it really was your fault.
Especially then.

Why nothing else has worked yet
Why Nothing Else Has Worked — And Why This Does
Most support for people in painful or confusing relationships focuses on what to do next. Leave. Set boundaries. Build your self-esteem. Practice self-care.
Good advice. Genuinely. But here’s what it misses:
You can’t set a boundary around something you can’t see clearly. You can’t rebuild self-esteem when the voice still in your head sounds exactly like theirs.
The reason the fog persists, the reason the self-blame keeps cycling back, the reason you can feel completely fine one day and then hear a song or see a notification and feel like you’re right back inside it — is that the root has never been addressed.
The root is this: you’ve been trying to recover from an experience that, in your own mind, doesn’t have a shape yet. It doesn’t have a name. It doesn’t have a clear “this is what was happening” framework. So your brain keeps running the search. Replaying conversations. Looking for the explanation. Trying to find the logic in something that was, at its core, designed to be illogical.
Here’s what the research shows — and what lived experience confirms — about narcissistic abuse recovery:
The moment you name the pattern, you interrupt the search
Not because a word fixes everything. But because your brain, which has been working overtime to make sense of something senseless, suddenly has a structure to work with.
And in that structure — the pattern, the cycle, the specific tactics that were used on you — you see clearly that the common thread is not your inadequacy. It’s a strategy. A repeatable, recognisable strategy that has nothing to do with who you are.
Self-blame cannot survive that recognition. Not completely. Not forever.
Think about how you feel right now versus how you’ll feel when you read the first section of this guide and think yes — that’s it — that’s exactly what it was. That moment of recognition is not just emotional relief. It’s a neurological shift. It’s the first crack in the story that says you’re the reason.
The Kit doesn’t ask you to do months of inner work.
It asks you to read. To recognise. To name.
And then the work — the real, lasting work — has somewhere to stand.
Who this is for
This Is For You If…
- — You know something was deeply wrong in that relationship, but when you try to explain it to someone else, it comes out sounding small
- — You’ve Googled “why do I feel crazy” or “am I too sensitive” more times than you can count
- — You felt crazy but you weren’t — and some part of you knows that, even when the other part of you is still making your case for why it was all your fault
- — You’ve tried therapy, and you’ve felt like you couldn’t explain what was actually wrong — like the words for it don’t exist
- — You said “I didn’t even know there was a name for this” when someone first mentioned narcissistic abuse — or you’re still waiting to hear it for the first time
- — You’ve left, or you’re trying to leave, or you left and came back because it made no sense — and you still wake up replaying conversations looking for where you went wrong
- — You are so tired of carrying this, and you need one clear thing that helps you understand it — tonight
This Is NOT For You If…
- — You’re looking for legal or safety advice — please reach out to a domestic abuse specialist service who can give you the specific, real-time support you need right now
- — You want a 12-week programme with live coaching and accountability — this is a clarity and recognition tool, not a course
- — You’re in the very early stages of leaving and need emergency support — this Kit is the right next step, but your next step right now is speaking to someone trained to help you leave safely
- — You’re certain you understand what happened and just need practical rebuilding strategies — there are better-fit tools for that stage (this Kit is the door to the room, not the whole room)
Who I am
Why I Made This
I know what it looks like when you can’t explain why you feel like this.
I know what it’s like to sit across from a therapist and say “something was really wrong” and hear back “it sounds like the relationship wasn’t healthy” — and feel unseen, because that’s not it, that’s not nearly it, but you can’t find the right words.
To feel the confusion follow you. To genuinely wonder if the problem was you, even when you know, somewhere in your body, that it wasn’t.
My name is Kaz. I built Start Living Your Truth because I discovered that the single thing that changed the hinge moment between surviving abuse and actually healing from it — was understanding what had been happening.
Not in a clinical way. In a this-is-what-that-conversation-was-actually-about way. In a your-confusion-was-the-intended-outcome way.
I’m not a therapist. I don’t have a string of letters after my name. What I have is a lived map of that experience — and years of helping others find the language for their experience, so they can stop putting themselves on trial and start finding their way forward.
This Kit is the first thing I wish someone had handed me.
It’s the first thing I hand every person who comes to me now.
Your investment
Less Than a Single
Therapy Session
Everything in the Kit — the Recovery Starter Guide, the “Is This Abuse?” Checklist, the Recovery Stage Self-Assessment, and the First Steps Action Plan — has a combined value of $100.
A single hour with a therapist who specialises in trauma? Anywhere from $120 to $200. And you’d still leave that session without the specific language for what happened — because most therapists, excellent as they are, won’t name it the way you need it named.
A Google search through articles that almost-but-don’t-quite-hit-it? You’ve been doing it for months, and you’re still here.
Continuing to carry the self-blame, the replaying, the fog, the 2am analysis — that has a cost too. Not in dollars. In the weeks, and months, and years of your life spent in a story that says this was your fault when it wasn’t.
